The pottery
that started it all
Nestled in the hills of Northern Thailand, Doy Din Dang meaning red clay hill is a forest studio founded by artist Somluk Pantiboon, who trained under master potters in Japan before returning to Chiang Rai to build something truly his own. Every piece here is handmade using local raw materials, blending daily-life functionality with contemporary artistry. Located about 12km north of Chiang Rai, the studio features a large showroom and a hidden coffee shop tucked behind it.

As part of our agile marketing project, we had the opportunity to sit down with the founder of Friendcation Cafe for an in-depth interview. The conversation gave us invaluable insights into the vision behind the cafe, the story of how it came to be, and what makes Friendcation truly special in Chiang Rai.

We conducted an in-depth interview with the founder of Friendcation Cafe to understand their vision, challenges, and marketing goals. The insights shaped all three of our experiments.
Using agile marketing methods, we designed and ran three real-world marketing experiments for the cafe. Each sprint was guided by data, feedback, and iteration.
Twelve students from the Marketing program at Mae Fah Luang University came together, learned together, and created something worth remembering together.
